Last April 24,2019, Fund Managers Association of the Philippines (FMAP) celebrated its 22nd Founding Anniversary and 19th FMAP Awards & Fellowship Night themed “Future-Proofing Fund Management in the Era of Disruption” at the Makati Diamond Residences.
The event was graced by the industry’s esteemed guests, including no less than the new BSP Governor Benjamin E. Diokno who was the key note speaker of the event. Other honorable guests include BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi G. Fonacier, SEC Commissioner Ephyro B. Amatong, SEC Chairperson Emilio B. Aquino , SEC Commissioner Kelvin Lester K. Lee , Deputy Insurance Commissioner Ferdinand George A. Florendo, Deputy Insurance Commissioner George S. Ongkeko, and PSE COO Atty Roel A. Refran. Aside from the banking industry’s most honored guests, Mr. Eddie Chan, CFA – Director at CFA institute’s Compliance & Enforcement of Professional Conduct – congratulated the association as it adapts the CFA Institute’s Asset Manager Code. The CFA Institute Asset Manager Code outlines the ethical and professional responsibilities of firms that manage assets on behalf of clients. By adopting and enforcing a code of conduct, FMAP members demonstrate their commitment to ethical behaviour and the protection of their investors’ interests. FMAP also acknowledges their distinguished business counterparties as they recognize their contribution in both equity and fixed income asset classes.
